Presets are fast, but they were designed to impress on their own. In a full arrangement, a sound built from scratch almost always fits better.

Start from silence

We initialise the patch, pick one oscillator and shape it with the filter before adding anything else. Each extra layer has to solve a problem in the mix.

Movement over complexity

Slow modulation on the filter or pitch keeps a simple sound alive across a whole chorus. Small changes over time beat a dense, static texture.

Save your favourite starting points and give them names that describe the job, not the sound.
